How Do You Know When You Get “There”?

“If you don’t know where you’re going, you might wind up somewhere else.”

This is one quote from Yogi Berra that I use often. I find it helps people visualize why it’s important to have all company leaders on the same page and using the same playbook to get to the same goal.

As a business leader, you’ve likely been tested several times over the last several months. Things in our world, economy, and businesses are changing faster than they ever have, and the future is still uncertain. Your team, your employees, your customers, and even your vendors all look to you to lead the company, and them, through these times.

Know What’s Within Your Control

As business leaders, we cannot control events around us or what is happening in the world. You CAN control how you respond. Your leadership will be more empowered and able to make clearer decisions when your team has when they have insights into where the business is going and how it’s going to get there.

Take A Moment to Evaluate Your Vision for the Company

Now, if you were to ask your leadership team or department managers about the company vision and what your priorities are right now, would they all have the same answer? If not, you’re not alone. This is a GREAT TIME to review that playbook, your plans, your issues, and goals to get everyone on the same page.
